Introduction

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is top ranked University in the country with global rankings. Molecular Care is a project in the Department of Biochemistry of the University offering high quality diagnostics, research and trainings facilities for the community. Molecular Care has organized many awareness seminars and workshops. International Symposium on Health and Nutrition is part of series of such awareness events. It is being organized in collaboration with Nutrition Section, Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform that is striving hard to eradicate malnutrition from the country. SUN (scaling up nutrition) movement Pakistan and World Food Program (WFP) are also main collaborators of the symposium. SUN movement has the vision to have a world free from malnutrition in all its forms by 2030. WFP has a motto “fighting hunger worldwide", delivering food assistance in around 80 countries to improve nutrition. GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition) is an international organization driven by the vision of a world without nutrition, will also collaborate to organize the symposium. Endowment Fund Secretariat of UAF will also support the symposium activity.
